Jonathan Walker – Managing Director

Background

Jonathan read history at University before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Courses at the College of Law. He then joined the firm as a trainee in 2004, qualified as a solicitor in 2007, and became a partner in 2011.

Expertise

Jonathan is head of the Real Estate Finance and Banking team and has considerable experience in acting for lenders in high volume, fast-paced short-term lending, including both regulated and unregulated loans ranging from £50,000 to £10 million. The types of transactions include residential and commercial bridges, refinance of large portfolios of properties and assets, debt restructuring, and auction purchases. He also manages development loans from small-mid scale sites to large-scale, high-value complex sites and developer exits. Jonathan has experience in dealing with his clients’ residential and commercial disposals under powers of sale or receivership which involves managing and dealing with complex property portfolios for lenders and their receivers.

Jonathan is also the head of the commercial property team and acts for individuals, their families, and businesses in managing and dealing with extensive property portfolios ranging from residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial portfolios.  

Jonathan is a fully qualified member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a leading body of practitioners promoting the highest professional standards in the fields of will-writing, trusts, estates, and other private client-related issues. This means he is also able to advise on a wide range of private client-related services including tax, trusts, and estate planning.
