We are pleased to announce that Matthew Roach has joined Walker Solicitors as Associate Director and Head of Residential Development.
Matthew joins the firm having spent several years leading the Partnerships Midlands legal function with top ten national house builder, Countryside Properties. Matthew is a Chartered Legal Executive with over 15 years’ experience acting for house builders and Registered Providers of varying sizes from niche operations to larger PLCs. His experience includes working with developers, RPs and PRS companies on joint ventures, framework agreements, land acquisitions and disposals, construction contracts, planning obligations, site set up and plot sales.
In addition to two stints in-house with Countryside and other national PLC house builder, Taylor Wimpey, Matthew has also spent several years at large full-service law firms in Birmingham such as Gateley Legal and Anthony Collins Solicitors. His experience in the world of residential development will be a great asset to us as we move forward with him as part of our management team.

Matthew joined Walker Solicitors in February 2022 as an Associate Director having spent the last 3 years in-house with a large national PLC house builder. Having found the law later in life, Matthew attained a qualifying law degree (LL.B) from the Open University then subsequently went on to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive.
